June 5th, 2022 will remain memorable in the minds of thousands of NNPP supporters in Enugu state as members trooped enmass to elect their governorship candidate and three senatorial candidates and that brings to an end the state primaries which ended with funfare and a strong vow to take over the state from PDP members
The senatorial primaries which were held simultaneously in the senatorial zones, while the governorship primary was held at the state party office, 65 Ziks Avenue, Enugu ended with celebration and strong resolve by party supporters to bring a new dimension in party politics in the state. Among the elected candidates for the senate include a retired Air Vice – Air Marshal Chibuzor Udeh who will run for the Enugu West senator seat under the platform of the party.
Speaking after the governorship primary, the Chairman electoral Committee Nuruddeen Suleman vowed that the party will sweep the state, saying that the party is well positioned to take over the state from PDP after decades of nothing to show. He maintained that the government of NNPP in the state will ensure that the welfare of the people will be a major area of focus of their administration, critical infrastructural development of the state, creation of employment opportunities for the teeming youths and security of lives and properties.
In the same vein the three senatorial candidates in the state who emerged through the affirmation process promised quality representation and manpower development.
