Student Arrested in Enugu For Duping Customers Over N120 Million in A Failed Ponzi

The crashed MMM ponzi scheme which impoverished so many investors has not ended interest in several ‘quick money’ yielding schemes.

The lattest casualty in such scheme is the Elifeseries which has reportedly gone undwr with investors money estimated at N120 million.

A 300 level Law student of UNN, Omeje Light aka Okwuego, has consequently been arrested in Enugu for defrauding people of over N120m via his make-quick-money scheme Elifeseries.

He was arrested recently when he failed to pay back investors money and planned to flee from the country.

He was reported to have started the scheme in 2019 and investors were offered 30% interest on their investment after bitcoin trading with the money.

Sources said he stopped paying peoole their money in March 2020 and was giving flimsy excuses each time he was asked about it.

Lecturers, students and even community members had invested their money only to learn that he was making plans to travel abroad.

His associates have gone into hiding since Hus arrest.

Investigations by local media reveal that the suspect has been charged to court for advanced fee fraud.

He is currently being remanded in the Enugu prisons.
